Our annual SANNZ ‘Off-route’ lecture, returns to the Festival of Architecture as ‘Craft’, sponsored by APL.
Continuing tradition, Off-Route:Craft investigates the practices of recent architecture graduates who have each managed to wrangle the rules, conventions and expectations of designers to move past the predetermined role of the ‘architect’. The role of Off-Route:Craft is to showcase alternative models of creative practice, proving there more than one route past architecture school.
Presenters for the evening will be:
Programme Director – Design for Social Innovation at Victoria University of Wellington
Professor of additive manufacturing and product development at the University of Auckland
Architectural Grad at HDT and DISSENT2019 Congress Co-Director
Exhibition Designer at Weta Workshop in their new Location Based Experience (LBE) team, ‘making imaginary worlds a reality’.
Registration optional, but recommended. Drinks and nibbles to be served from 5pm, with the first speaker presenting at 5:30pm.
